a first grade christmas

This year I wasn't able to attend both of my boys' school Christmas parties. I've discovered that it's hard to have my kids only a grade apart because often their activities are on the same days at the exact same time. So we usually end up taking turns or I split my time between both when I can. For this year's Christmas parties, though, Maddox's class needed moms to volunteer running activity stations and so I signed up and wasn't able to leave and see Ash at his party.

Maddox's party was a lot of fun! His teacher had put together a goody bag stocking for each of the kids!

Everyone enjoyed some Christmas snack mix which included marshmallows, chocolate chips, caramel chips and a bunch of other stuff. Yum!

What would a Christmas party be without a cookie decorating station!?!? Maddox, of course, piled a ton of sweet goodies onto his sugar cookie and then actually ate the entire thing!

We ended our afternoon with a few games of Christmas bingo. In Maddox's group the same girl won game after game after game! Ha! The other kids started asking her if they could use her game card!

I know my years are numbered that my boys will still have holiday parties that mom's are invited to at school. Makes me sad. Yes, I'm the mom with my camera out at parties taking a ton of pictures but I'M NOT ASHAMED!!!! I have to document every moment.
