Christmas morning was amazing. It was just our little family of four in our own home. The boys woke up about 7AM, which actually wasn't bad. I was expecting much worse! Ha!
Ash was the first one in the living room. He had one present that wasn't wrapped. A telescope! Of course, it was the first thing he saw and, I think, was almost disappointed that it was daytime and he would have to wait the whole day to try it out! Once Ash spent some time examining his new toy he begged us to let him wake Maddox up and so we let him. Let the unwrapping begin!!!!
"Mom! Stop taking pictures and let us open our gifts!"
I love, love, LOVE watching my boys open gifts. Maddox is so OVERLY expressive! You can tell immediately how Maddox feels about his gift...good or bad. The good reactions definitely outweigh the few bad we have had in the past. He LOVES Christmas morning. He gets so excited that he physically shakes. Ash is much calmer about his gifts but he enjoys each and every one to the fullest. He may not jump up and down and scream at the top of his lungs but he examines each toy, reads the box and truly takes his time enjoying every second of Christmas morning.
I think the boys both got everything they wanted. Ash got his telescope, his video games and both books he wanted. Maddox got Legos, Power Ranger toys and a new DS.
It didn't take long for the boys to tear through their gifts and then playtime began! What fun!
We couldn't play for long because we had to get ready, finish packing and head to Ponca City to have Christmas with my family. This day has just begun!!!!
