"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

hopping down the bunny trail
After opening our families gifts on Christmas Eve we drove to my sister's house in Ponca City where we would later meet up with my parents and both my sisters and spend Christmas week with them. We had tons of fun stuff planned and couldn't wait to get started but first we had to wait for everyone to arrive. We got to Ponca City around 5:00PM, had dinner with Casey and Rae and then went back to their house to settle in and wait for my other sister and parents to fly in. The kids were so excited to see each other and got right to playing. It's always funny to see my boys play at their cousins house. They are closest in age to Elia, who is obviously a girl, and so they have no choice but to play with all of her girly toys! Be it barbies, dolls, tea sets or dress up clothes it's hilarious to see how they turn nearly everything in to some form of "boy" play. This trip Ash found a bunny costume and was hopping around the house in it. At first, I wondered what in the world they were doing down the hallway in Elia's room until Maddox came around the corner with a gun "hunting" Ash-the-bunny and trying to shoot him. Aaahhh! Now I see how they turned the pink bunny costume into classic little boy playtime. Elia's bunny costume will never be the same...
