"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

from me to you
For the second year in a row, I gave each of the boys a set amount of money and took them to the dollar store to purchase their very own Christmas presents for their cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents and of course mom and dad! They love shopping "on their own" and picking the perfect present for each person. Of course, after picking out presents it is their responsibility to wrap those gifts as well. Two words can pretty much sum up what it is like to wrap presents with a 6 and 8 year old boy...TAPE AND TAPE!!!! Ha!! We went through a couple of rolls of the stuff plus WAY too much wrapping paper! But the boys did a great job and they can't wait to hand out their gifts at Christmas! I am so very proud of them!
