While we were in Ponca City for Christmas it snowed at our home in Mustang. We were super bummed that we were missing it and we were even more bummed when the weatherman promised we would wake up to snow on Christmas morning in Ponca and then...we didn't. So sad. It made the broken promise even worse because we told the kids they would wake up to snow and we would play in it and then when they woke up they rushed to the window only to find...NOTHING! How do you explain THAT to your kids!? I guess they should get used to Oklahoma weather sooner rather than later! Ha! Anyway, we never got any accumulating snow but the day after Christmas we did finally see some snow flakes mixed in with rain. It may not have been much but it sure was exciting for us Oklahoma folk! We're still praying for some snow-man-building snow in our near future though!
