"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

flight of noah's hair
My nephew, Noah, has had CRAZY HAIR from the day he was born! His hair is very thin and very soft...the combination of those two things makes for hair that stands on end all the time...no...matter...what!!!! Ha! It doesn't matter what my sister tries, Noah's hair continues to stand on end! Of course, we all think it's super cute (and it is!) but one day my sister decided it was time for Noah's first hair cut. We were sad to see Noah's crazy hair-do go but we knew the day had to come sooner or later. Unfortunately, Noah's hair cut didn't quite go as planned. As the stylist did her best to cut Noah's hair it was becoming quite obvious that his hair just wasn't going to look right. For one thing, Noah didn't like getting his hair cut AT ALL and he let everyone know about it...plus, the texture of Noah's hair was preventing it from laying down at all. Finally, the stylist turned to my sister and explained the situation saying they could either leave it as is or shave it short. As you can see, they chose to shave it...and WHOA!!!! We always knew Noah and Maddox were kind of twins but until Noah debuted his new hair we weren't aware of just how strong the twin genes really were! Yikes! Good thing they're both cute! It's great to have two such handsome boys in our family!
