"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

number twenty three
This year, at school, the boys' friend Seth played basketball for his junior high team! He is #23 in white. We were only able to go to one of his games this season but it was AWESOME! I love watching the NBA on television but I forgot how exciting it is to watch good ol' fashion school basketball in person! There's something about the card table set up with teachers selling tickets at the door, giving you change out of a metal cash box. I love the student run concession stand, the smell of popcorn, the sound of shoes squeaking on the basketball floor and the sight of mom's wearing giant buttons with their kids faces on them! It's all wonderful and brings back memories of my childhood! Sweet, sweet memories! The boys were PUMPED to see Seth play in his game! He is their hero and even though they've only played basketball on the grass in Seth's backyard they think Seth is a BASKETBALL LEGEND!!!! As the boys watched Seth play in his junior high game they kept saying things like "I wonder if he'll dunk it?" and "I think he's the fastest runner on the team!" My boys truly idolize Seth and even though on such a huge junior high team Seth only got to play one quarter of the game that was enough to keep my boys coming back for more! Seth's team won the game and that was the icing on the cake! #23 is our hero!
