sweet nat turns one

Our niece, Natalie, turned one in January and we were bound and determined to make it to her birthday party! The forecast called for snow that day AND we were running late because Ash had a JBQ meet that morning but there was no way we were going to miss this! We made it to Ponca City okay despite the fact that the snow was beginning to fall. We were a bit scared we'd get stuck in Ponca but I guess not scared enough to keep us home! Ha!

There were a lot of people at Natalie's party. I'm not sure if she was overwhelmed by the number of people or simply not interested in what was going on but she wasn't so "in to" opening her own gifts. So her mom, April, sat on the living room floor with the full attention of everyone in the room while SHE opened all of Natalie's gifts and Nat spent the time wandering around the house and playing with toys that had already been opened! When April opened this ride along toy Natalie was pretty quick to figure out that if she simply sat on the toy the boys at the party would push her around the house on it! Ha! She's quite the princess already!

Beautiful girl!

We missed most of Nat's party but stayed for a bit afterward, when everyone else had left, so the boys could spend some time with their cousin and we could visit as well. Maddox is always so good with kids! He got right down on the floor and played with Natalie! He can always make her belly laugh!

We didn't make it to the party in time to see Natalie eat her cake so April put her back in the high chair just so we could get a picture of all the kids together!

Such sweeties!

Happy Birthday Natalie!!!! Thank you for inviting us!!!! We can't believe you're already one year old!!!! We love you very much!!!! (Oh! And we made it home just fine!)
