down time

After visiting Great Gramma's house in Enid, we came back to Mustang to hang out until the 4th of July! For the most part we just played at our house, swam and played some more! On top of watching Elia while her parents are out of the country, they are also watching Elia's doggy, Bella. Bella is a big dog who thinks she's a lap dog! Ha! Bella really is a good dog and I enjoyed having her around but after a week I'm ready for her mommy and daddy to come home! She is such a needy little girl. She follows us around the house, whines when she is not being petted and literally wants to lay in your lap every chance she gets! She was spoiled while at our house though! As you can see, she made herself quite comfortable in my bed at night!

Elia and her Uncle B have a special relationship! They don't speak alot but sometimes you will find them sitting next to each other paying attention to their own electronic devices. Here, Uncle B let Elia play games on his iPad but ONLY if she stayed sitting next to him. Ha! He's generous...but on his own terms!

I think EVERY SINGLE NIGHT the kids were plain ol' wiped out by playing and swimming so hard. One night, Elia fell asleep sitting up watching cartoons in the office!

One morning, while Grampa Mike was in the bathroom getting ready for the day, Maddox and Elia had a mischivious idea!! Seaky...sneaky!! They collected all of the pillows from the boys' bedroom and stacked them outside the bathroom door! They were so cute as they built their pillow wall thinking they were locking Grampa into the bathroom! What's extra funny is that the bathroom door opens in! Ha!! Maddox and Elia were very proud of themselves though and sat in the hallway until Grampa Mike opened the door and found their awnry surprise! As I came out of my bedroom and saw what the kids had done I couldn't help but remember doing almost the same exact thing as a child with my cousin Amy! The only difference is we stacked nearly every toy from my cousin's room in front of her bedroom door so that no parents, or even my sister, could enter! We thought it was funny...until we had to clean it all up ourselves...

Our house may be small...and we were definitely crammed in with 4 adults, 3 kids and 1 dog...but it sure was fun to have everyone together for a visit! We only get to see my parents a couple times each year and so it's always fun to make memories whether we're pressed for space or not!! Next up...??? THE 4TH OF JULY!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!
