Camp Cousin Day #3!!!! This was our last day in Ponca City. The kids woke up pretty early and watched some cartoons while we got ourselves packed up and ready for the day. Maddox is going to make such a good babysitter some day. He's already a wonderful big cousin to all the little ones. He cuddles with them, plays with them, lets them sit on his lap and when the grown ups have to get something done you can always trust Maddox to keep on an eye on them!
Before we got the big kids dressed we had them decorate their annual "camp cousin tees". This is always a fun project and it's been really neat to see how their styles and creativity has changed over the years.
James had fun eating while his mommy made his camp cousin onesie!
The final products turned out GREAT! Here is baby James' tee...
Elia's camp cousin tee...
Noah's tee...
Maddox's tee... (his ALWAYS has to do with sports)
and last but certainly not least, Ashtyn's tee!!
While our t-shirts dried and before we loaded up for the drive to Mustang, we packed our beach bags and headed to the lake!
Silly cousins! I just love them so much!
The big kids had so much fun in the water but they were all a bit freaked out by how slimy the ground under the water felt on their feet. They kept daring each other to walk out further and further and then would squeal and scream as they ran back to shore. Uncle Casey finally caught on to their game and picked Maddox up dragging him to the "deep" end of the swimming area. Ha! Maddox acted like he was freaking out but you could totally tell that deep down inside he was loving every minute of it!
Uncle Casey and Maddox always love to play rough...
and Noah, without fail, always finds some delicious sand or dirt to eat!
You can't go to the beach without burying someone in the sand. No surprise, Maddox volunteered!
Snack time in the shade.
We had a GREAT time at the beach! It was warm but not too hot and the kids played great together. When we got home and got cleaned up Uncle Casey pulled out his guitar. It was nice to listen to such calming music and not only did the grown ups enjoy it but we discovered how much James LOVES the music too! He literally sat ENTRANCED the entire time Casey was playing...
until he wanted to play some music himself, that is! Ha!
Well...three fun days of camp cousin down and now we head to Mustang! Let the fun continue!
