camp cousin 2013 day two

Camp Cousin Day #2 was a bit of a slower day. We have to mix those in here and there to stay sane and to keep the kids from killing each other...or us! Ha! We slept in a bit (as much as little ones will let you) and then we went to an early movie. Movies are always a hit for everyone! After the movie we went back to Aunt Rae's house and the kids went swimming.

Before camp cousin my sisters and brothers-in-law surprised me and Brandon with a dinner date and tickets to see BB King!!!! It was actually a gift for Brandon for his 31st birthday but they let me tag along! Ha! We had dinner at El Patio (our ALL TIME FAVORITE!!!!) and then drove to the concert.

Seriously people...this is the best mexican food on the planet! I can taste the queso blanco now!

We have seen BB King one other time about ten years ago but, no matter his age, BB King never disappoints. We had no idea that our concert tickets would include the couple we were SO lucky to sit next to. By the time the concert started they were so drunk that the man kept putting his arm around Brandon and was practically hugging him! He laughed a lot and, at one point, even BEGGED Brandon to give me a kiss! (Brandon kiss me...not the drunk man...) Ha! It was hilarious!

It was such a fun surprise to celebrate my best friend's birthday with him seeing one of his favorite musicians! Thank you Rae, Casey, Karianne and Kevin for this special night out! It was exactly what we needed!
