camp cousin 2014 day four

Camp Cousin 2014 Day Four. Today we got to wear our custom camp cousin tees! It's a tradition that I know we will one day outgrow but for now we are loving it. It's so funny to see how different each kids' t-shirt turns out and how much their shirt fits their individual personality.

Noah watching big cousin Ash doing his own hair. Mesmerizing.

This was the hottest day on the forecast during camp cousin and that turned out to be a good thing and a bad thing. It was good because we were already going to a local splash pad BUT it was bad because we were planning on being outside all day. From the splash pad to playing at the park to eating lunch from food trucks. We were literally melting even in the shade!

He gets his moves from his dad.

Handsome boys.

He loves to pose.

The cousin crew! We joked later that Rae looks like a Big Foot lurking in the background! Ha! We caught a yetti on film! Call Nat-Geo STAT!

Food truck lunch and food truck dessert! YYYUUUMMM!!!!

We weren't dressed for it and we had to stay outside long enough to dry off but when we couldn't stand the heat any longer we walked across the street to the Dallas Museum of Art. It felt kind of weird to be wandering through all the historic art while wearing our bathing suits and swim cover ups but thankfully a lot of other families had the same idea that day and so we weren't alone.

This is a REAL mummy! REAL! It is a woman and you could actually see her mummified feet sticking out. Cool and creepy at the same time!

Ash enjoyed the museum on a more intellectual level than the rest of us. In the kids' area, while I was having to remind Maddox not to see how high he could jump to touch the tops of paintings Ash was drawing a self portrait, perusing art books and pondering the art hanging on the walls.
