weather warm up

This weekend we took advantage of our break from the snow and some beautiful, sunny 50 degree temps and went to the zoo! I, personally, LOVE winter but when you have two very energetic and active little boys at home spring and summer suddenly have way more importance in your sanity! Ha!! The boys have been begging to go to the zoo so when a semi-warm day came we headed out. Sure, most of the animals were either inside, hibernating or simply sprawled out in the grass asleep but we had fun strolling around seeing what we could see. We stopped for the boys to eat lunch and, sitting outside, the boys asked if daddy would play tag with them. We couldn't help but laugh that we had driven all the way to the zoo to play tag! Ha!! But nonetheless it was fun and the boys had a good time...and they got some of their energy out too! We spent the whole afternoon at the zoo and had alot of fun as a family. I look forward to more zoo trips as the weather warms up in a few months. Oh! And on the way home Ashtyn put on daddy's beanie-cap and I couldn't help but take a picture! He's so cute!
