On Tuesday, we were excited that Grampa Mike was passing through town for a seminar and had just enough time to stop in and treat us to dinner!! I didn't tell the boys about Grampa's visit early just in case plans changed but once they got out of school I told them and they were SUPER excited!! When Grampa Mike arrived he let the boys pick where we would eat and I bet you can guess where we went...that's right, McDonald's!! It was a short but fun dinner. I don't get to see my dad very often so it was nice to catch up and for the boys to spend time with Grampa!! After dinner, Grampa Mike surprised the boys with a trip to Wal-Mart to pick out a new toy!! Ashtyn walked straight to the beyblade aisle and chose the toy he wanted...it took him all of 30 seconds. Maddox, on the other hand, takes the decision making process very seriously. EVERY..SINGLE...TIME Maddox has money to spend and we go to the store he has to walk up and down every aisle and look at every item he might even possibly want to buy. When we first got to Wal-Mart I even went to the grocery side to pick up a few items and when I got back over to toys Maddox was STILL standing and staring at the Star Wars items. He just couldn't decide. Probably a full 30 minutes later Maddox made a decision and we headed home to play!! Grampa Mike was able to visit our house for just a little bit before he had to leave but it sure was a sweet visit. Thank you Grampa Mike for visiting us and the boys thank you very much for their new toys!! Oh...and by the way, Maddox has watched his light saber training DVD many, many, MANY times and is getting quite good!! Ha!! I'll send you a bill for all the broken trinkets and picture frames...HAHA!! I'm only kidding of course!!
