recovering obsessive compulsive

I may possibly be, just the teeniest bit, OCD. OK...friends and family, STOP LAUGHING!!!! Fine, I'll admit it, I'm extremely OCD!! I can't help it!! I always have been and probably always will be!! However, I like to think that having kids has cured at least some of my obsessive compulsive tendencies. Nowadays, I can actually go to sleep at night with laundry still in the hampers and the sofa pillows strewn on the floor instead of lined up on the sofa in perfect order. I have my moments for sure (you don't wanna see what happens when we're going to have company over...) but I'm definitely not as "bad" as I used to be!! Alot of times, in fact, I find beauty and whimsy in the little messes my boys leave around the house. I can't even recite all of the places I've found little plastic action figures (i.e. bathtub, under bed covers, window sills, etc) and obviously when you have small kids you find laundry in the strangest of places. (If you don't have kids then you may be surprised to find out that children take off their clothes in layers ALL OVER the house...!!!) The other night, as I was going to bed I stopped in the bathroom to brush my teeth (and all that stuff) and saw Maddox's pajama pants on the floor. I had to laugh because I had just put those very same PJ's on Maddox only hours earlier!! Maddox VERY RARELY makes it to bed fully dressed. He will put on his pajamas at about 7PM and by the time he falls asleep 30 minutes to an hour later he's stripped down to his undies!! I'm not even sure why I buy pajamas for him anymore!! Ha!! And, just in case you were wondering...I left Maddox's PJ pants on the bathroom floor until the next morning!! Yep, that's right, I'm making progress!!
