"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

relax instead
Sunday afternoon I had TONS to do!! I needed to catch up on the laundry, get some groceries, put up the rest of our Christmas decorations and wash sheets...after lunch, though, we laid the boys down for a nap and it didn't take long for Maddox to come wandering out of his room, dragging his blanket behind him and giving me those puppy dog eyes that say "I wanna sit in your lap..." I just couldn't resist. Maddox snuggled up, right on top of me, and dozed off. He slept there for almost TWO full hours! I even slept for awhile! Maddox was making me sweat like crazy (he's a very hot natured little guy...), my legs were falling asleep and I didn't get ANYTHING on my to-do list marked off...but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I truly hope he still wants to cuddle up with me at nap time for many years to come!!!!
