After my sister planned her daughter's birthday party she realized that the Friday evening before the party was their church staff Christmas party. Since we were already going to be visiting Ponca City on Saturday for Elia's party my sister asked if we would instead be willing and able to come Friday evening and watch our niece and nephew while she and Casey went to their Christmas party. Sort of killing two birds with one stone. Of course, we agreed and were happy to do it! It's been a long time since we've had a baby in the house and so it's always fun to remember what that is like!
I think my favorite part of the entire evening was when we fed Noah his dinner. We broke up some chicken nuggets into tiny pieces and gave him shredded cheese! A growing boys' favorites! He sort of picked at his food as he wasn't feeling very well from being sick earlier in the week and seemed a bit tired. Usually Noah is very awnry and energetic so it was kind of sad not to see all of his smiles and hear all of his laughter and high pitched screams. While I sat and fed him his food, Uncle B stood behind me and did his best to get some Noah smiles out of him...
we FINALLY succeeded (or I should say Uncle B succeeded) and we captured some gorgeous smiles!!!! He melts my heart!!!!
Like I said, Noah was pretty cranky. He was a bit whiny and upset and it seemed really difficult to keep him entertained and happy. That is, until, Noah found this pink barbie microphone! Ha! His sister wasn't too happy about it but Noah carried that thing around the entire night, wouldn't put it down and was much happier when he had it in his hand! Too funny!
Ash and Maddox love their cousins and both Brandon and I love our nieces and nephews! We will always jump at any chance we get to spend time with them!
