pretty in pink

After the Christmas holiday my parents stayed for another few days to visit and my sister and brother-in-law stayed for another week and a half. We were excited to hang out together and make more memories. One afternoon my dad fell asleep on the sofa. Dad is one of those people who can fall asleep anywhere, at any time and stay asleep through most anything! When we noticed dad was out cold we told Elia that she should go get her make-up case and make Grampa Mike "pretty". Elia was VERY stand-offish at first and wasn't sure if that's something she should do. (She is a rule follower and didn't want to get in trouble...) but after Auntie Ucka and Aunt Kiki told her we would help her she finally agreed! She still wouldn't do make-up but she agreed to paint Grampa Mike's fingernails PINK!!!! Ha! We cheered Elia on in our best whisper cheers while she painted all of the nails she could get to. She was too scared to take her time and paint each nail completely but she dotted all of the nails she could with a hot pink dot! She was so proud of herself. It was at least another hour before Grampa Mike woke up and we all had a good laugh at what a "pretty lady" Grampa Mike was! Ha! Auntie Ucka and Aunt Kiki are teaching Elia their ways and we couldn't be more proud!
