Santa Clause is Comin' to Town

Every year, since we moved to Mustang, we have taken the boys to see Santa on a Saturday. I'm not sure why but we just have. This year all of our Saturday's were full and so we chose, instead, to go on a Monday afternoon right after school. Let me just say that from now on we will ALWAYS go on a weekday after school!!!! There was NO ONE there!!!! No line, no wait, no cranky mom who thinks you're trying to cut in line and keeps giving you dirty looks!!!! Nothing!!!! We go to Bass Pro Shop every year. Their Santa is awesome and they have a lot of free activities set up for the kids to do after your kids sit on Santa's lap. When we arrived at the store we walked right up to the Santa entrance, down the red carpet and straight to Santa! The boys were SO excited! (So was I!!!!)

The boys sat with Santa, told him what they want for Christmas and received their miniature candy cane. It all happened so quickly that it almost felt unreal! And oh so good! Such a peaceful Santa experience!

Since there was no one else in the store we were able to take our time and participate in all the kids activities the store had set up. With no one in line before us and no one behind us there was no pressure! First, the boys shot guns...

and then we moved on to bows-n-arrows!

Every time we go to Bass Pro we also have to look at the fish, of course.

Instead of standing in line to see Santa for an hour and a half we were able to have solid fun for an hour and a half! Before we left, Maddox wanted to pose for one more pic in front of Bass Pro...I think he enjoyed the afternoon.

Here's to Santa bringing exactly what the boys asked for and to the best Christmas to date!
